WHY CHOOSE MUSIC THERAPY?

Music Therapy uses music as a tool to achieve non musical goals. All offerings are tailored to meet the needs of you, your child and your whānau.

Individual / Dyadic Session

What does this look like?

  • An initial assessment period of 2-3 sessions in which we will work alongside you and your child to determine how and if music therapy is right for you.

  • After this, goals and an ongoing plan can be developed together. Sessions vary from 30-45mins and are scheduled for once a week.

Things we may do in the session

  • Play instruments

  • Dance together

  • Sing together

  • Write songs

  • Listen to familiar and recorded music

  • Create sensory experiences (eg scarves, bubbles, toys)

Seedlings believe in the importance of meeting our families where they are and making music therapy as accessible as possible. This means that we have the capacity to come to your home for sessions.
